King Hit List (1:1 Retal System)

One way to make sure people think twice about looting us is by getting it in their heads that every time they loot us they stand a good chance of getting looted back. Obviously this doesn't apply to the top players in the game, but it seems reasonable to put attacks from them down here too so that we may have grievances to hold against them in the future.

So here's the plan: Any time you get looted, record the name of the person who did it here and what troops/heroes they sent to do it with (you can see in the war report).

If you see someone's name here and you think you can take them, loot them as many times as they looted us and no more, then send them a message telling them that it was a retaliation for a loot they did and cite who they looted and when. You don't have to say "You deserved it," or "So don't mess with King!" or any stupid cliché garbage like that in your message. You can just simply say something of the following form:

Message Body: On Apr 20, you looted quintopia twice. You have been looted twice in return. You will receive no further penalty for those actions. Thanks, and have a nice day!

This tactic will be most effective if

1. The contents of the message are true. Therefore, you should state beforehand that you are going to take responsibility for a particular retaliation, so that no one ever gets double-retaliated.
   
2. You use almost exactly the message I gave above. Be as pleasant and articulate as possible. Show that we don't like being picked but we don't want to piss anyone off either.
   
3. You never try to justify an unprovoked attack with such a message. You can tell them "I was just looting you for the resources and I won't do it again for a while," or "I was just conquering you for the taxes and I won't do it again for a while," but never say "You've been rude to me and I don't like you so I'm gonna rape you muthafucka!"
   
4. You always maintain a precise eye-for-an-eye retaliation standard. If someone takes your resource colony, take it back, but don't loot them. If someone insults you in world chat, and you believe they might have powerful allies, just mute them and let it go. On the other hand, if they are weak and repeatedly insult you...well, it's open season I suppose.

So you see, the goal is to display as much strength as we actually have without being rude or unpleasant to anyone, or doing anything that would piss anyone off. (Sure, anything you do will piss someone off, just don't do anything that would piss off anyone you did it to.)


In order to get this idea started off on the right foot, I'll start the retal list here (and will edit this post as often as possible to maintain the list here):

The List wrote:jovette (level 36) looted quintopia twice today (4/20) with:
*Hankari(25/43/17) with 54 zerks and 610 hells
*Naristi(51/12/17) with 17 hunters and 449 zerks
but did not conquer

ladyindis (level 44) looted quintopia today (4/21) with:
*Ainuni(134/15/40) with 100 lonufals and 800 overlords
and then conquered with
*Dhumdan(?) with 200 lonufals and 385 overlords

Again, anyone is free to loot (and only loot back) once for each of these loots (and conquer once for each conquer) by claiming them in this thread. First to claim gets the loot. It would be best if loots to the same person are all done by the same person to simplify bookkeeping for the target and ourselves. After you have completed the attack *NO MATTER WHETHER YOU SUCCEED OR FAIL* send them the above message and then post the news back in this thread and we will cross them off the list. Yes, if you fail, we will let them walk scot-free, so don't claim the retal unless you are going to succeed.

guys this is the hit list thread. if you want to ask me silly questions, make a new thread.

I have added a loot and conquer from ladyindis to the hit list. This was preceded by another loot and conquer from the same. wu wu man and I were freed by mr sir, who was then looted 5 times in 10 minutes and then conquered himself (i expect to see those attacks added to my list sir). he defeated tye's loot, but dave999 wiped out his entire army (1000 kahklehs) because he had do not engage if outnumbered set. The other three loots met with no resistance. Immediately after this, ladyindis relooted and reconquered me, and this is what I added to the list.

Do not be disenchanted and downhearted Kings! One day we will be so big that we will be able to actually avenge all of these attacks! The glass is half full!
